Mom of five children, inspiration for toys is never far from Irene Guerrieri’s mind. She designes and realizes many baby-product lines for important Italian and foreign trademarks that are leaders in this sector.
In her design ideology, the most important aspect is the use of natural materials and colours wherever possible, and to realise modern design using traditional material, especially wood and natural fabrics.
This way her products show a modern concept with a traditional flavour. In 2001 Irene won the competition “Compasso d’Oro” with the series of toys, “Zookids”, which is mentioned in the ADI Design Index 2002 featuring the best products of Italian design. She has won many prizes and accolades in the children’s design field and has many important publications in this sector supporting her name.
